No, I’m not pulling back from the front! On retreat yesterday with many of the priests of the diocese. Down on the edge of Lough Gill, Co. Sligo. A lovely location. Just thought I’d share a line used by the Retreat Servant yesterday – that’s his choosing of title – said he’s not a Retreat Master but a Retreat Servant and that his job was “not to get in God’s way”
Thought it was a good line! So wherever you are today and whatever you say or do – wherever any of us are today – maybe that’s the key that we’d try not get in God’s way but allow His word fall where needed. That includes, of course, into our own hearts too.
