As we begin Holy Week, we do so in the most unusual and unwelcome of circumstances. It is difficult to imagine, never mind live in, these times. We will pray for each other, support each other – even, and maybe especially, at distance.
Our Holy Week Ceremonies will go ahead and I hope that as many of you as possible will join in prayer through these days. Hopefully or webcam kilmoveeparish.org/webcam will help us to be united in space and time. I am aware however that technology can let us down and, by all accounts, the demand for broadband is very intense at this time. This may well add difficulty to the situation. But with or without camera, know that our parish will pray the liturgy of these days. I will make audio recordings of all that happens, around prayer time, and post it on the Parish Website as soon as possible after each event.

Some resources are available on our Diocesan Website to help those praying through Holy Week at home this year. They offer suggestions for individual and family prayer and some things to do to help deepen our faith through these days. The link is achonrydiocese.org/bringinghome
During these days, we pray that the Lord’s journey to Calvary will help our world as it struggles with COVID-19 and that our sights will be set less on the Cross and more on the Empty Tomb of Easter Sunday and to the new hope and promise that delivers.
