On Sunday, February 8th 2009, a new ambulance was launched by the Ballaghaderreen Branch of Irish Red Cross.  The Ambulance, provided at a cost of €100,000 was partly sponsored by the local community (€20,000) and by CLÁR funding through the office of Minister Eamon O’Cúiv.  The ambulance was blessed following the 12noon Mass and those gathered welcomed its arrival and the obvious benefits it brings to the commnity.  Well done to all involved.
