On Tuesday November 4th, pupils and teachers from St. Aidan’s N.S., Monasteraden travelled to Dublin to the Helix Theatre for the final of FIS (FILM IN SCHOOL) Festival 2008.  The school’s entry, entitled “Calypso” was a short animated film based on the song of the same title by John Denver, paying tribute to the work of Jacques Cousteau.  The film took the overall award at this year’s festival for “Best Film”.  Over one hundred schools took part in the competition this year with one hundred and twenty films submitted.  St. Aidan’s also won the award for best use of special effects.  Click on the link below and enjoy the film!  Well done to all involved.
