James McDonagh sent me this link. I was expecting it to be funny. I wasn’t prepared for what it was. Funny? Yes, but in a funny way – a moving and thought provoking way. Very natural stories, told well and in a lingering way. Thanks James!
I’m not sure how I happened on this video today. I think I was searching for a tune and it led me to this clip from The Corrs … mighty rhythm and music ….

that reminded me of Gay Byrne’s interview with Andrea Corr on “The Meaning of Life” so another search brought this …. very good interview with what seems to be a lovely person …

and then there’s this … (haven’t looked at it but will at some stage – a concert ….)
Earlier today I met Paul Kivlehan, having asked him if he’d be willing to share a few thoughts around his vocation story and his feelings as Ordination Day approaches. Paul kindly agreed. I’ve placed this on our Diocesan Website but thought I might share here as well.
Our next Pope! Last year this man celebrated Mass in Knock. He struck me as being a good man but I’ve not real clue what he’s like. Certainly his name is mentioned now as one being considered to fill the “shoes of the fisherman”. I came across this interview the other evening. It was recently recorded and is in two parts. I love the closing minutes of the first part, where they spend some time with the mother of Marc Oullet …. great line about the two of them praying the rosary together each morning; she in Quebec and he in Rome – togetherness. There’s a lovely shot of her looking out the window of her home, as if she’s looking onto St Peter’s Square. So, if you’ve a bit of time, you might be interested.
