Heard this tune on radio last Sunday morning. I mentioned it at Masses that day. The Lord, in last Sunday’s Gospel passage, invites the disciples to come away to a quiet place where they can pray and reflect. As I listened to this piece, I was taken by the core melody – the music box tune – that remained at the heart of the piece all the way through. Yes, an orchestra joined in, the level of sound increased but the tune remained at the heart of the piece. Perhaps that is what Jesus is inviting us to recognise – that regardless of noise levels, the core message remains – “God is Love”.
