Wise words
A number of weeks ago I walked with a friend as she took her daughter to the local school. It was a city school, full of life and of other parents doing as my friend was doing. A daily routine.
I noticed some writings on the walls of the school – various quotations and words of wisdom. This one caught my eye. It was a clever use of space and I could imagine the children noticing these and similar words as they walked the corridors. I thought of parents too and that many of them must notice these messages.
LENTEN THOUGHT: For whom were these words intended? Pupils, parents, teachers, visitors? Possibly for anyone with an eye to see and a desire to remember. Good and wise words are intended for all and the hope is that their message will linger.
