Parish Mission
In the Parish of Urney/Castlefin (Diocese of Derry) for a Parish Mission. It started last night and is continuing with daily Masses at 6.30am and 10.00am as well as Evening Mission Liturgy/Homily at 7.30pm. Visited two schools today and another two tomorrow.
The welcome is very good and the attendance, heartening. It was great to see so many people at the 6.30am Mass this morning. All ages, thank God.
Strikes me that parishes have much life in them. Encourages me about my own patch and renews the gratitude I feel for so many good and kind people.
LENTEN THOUGHT: Sometimes we do well to look at our own place from positive and encouraging ground.
